REWARDS ARE NOW DISCOUNTS.
After polling a bunch of customers, we found that an immediate discount was more preferable than rewards that you had to build up to. The rewards program that the e-commerce platform supported made it to where you would need to have enough points to cover the entire item. No partial discounts were available using rewards credits. Instead of giving everyone a 30 day notice so they could use their credits, we gave everyone a one time automatic $2 discount to cover the 200 points for signing up and subscribing to the newsletter.
BUT MY CREDITS?
On any previous purchases where someone accrued rewards credits, a one time discount code has been emailed to that person to cover those reward credits earned.
HOW'S IT WORK?
1. Everyone gets a 5% discount on mostly everything that they buy. This discount does not apply to shipping. There will be a discount code that must be applied to each purchase and failure to do so will result in no discount for that purchase.
2. After someone's total product purchases (after discounts but before shipping and sales tax) reaches $1,000, their discount goes up to 10% on mostly everything they buy from that point forward (again not applying to shipping). Also again, there will be a discount code that must be applied to each purchase and failure to do so will result in no discount for that purchase.
3. There will be discounts that will go out (I.e. a once a year 10% or 15% discount) and are not combinable with other discounts.
